The Library of The District Museum in Louny
The history of the library goes back to the year 1889, in which the Museum association was established in Louny. The library resources are divided into two parts. The Historical fund contains documents of collection nature and it is member to the National collection evidence (CES) and falls under the provisions of the law No. 122/2000 Coll. It contains manuscripts, incunabula, antique prints, country fair songs and a fund of regionalia - Lunensia. In the specialized fund of the library are documents connected to the expert activities of the museum - archeology, history, natural sciences, collection of newspapers and magazines from the 19.-20. centuries.
The library of the augustinian monastery in Dolní Ročov, which was restituted to the order of Saint Augustin in 1993 and which is deposited at the library of museum of Louny, is open to researches for study. The library of the museum is only a presence library, the books and other documents from the fonds are available in reading-room only. The historical funds are excerpted from the general lending and are subject to special roles set out for the expert researchers.

| The almanac has been published in 2003 by the Municipal Museum in Čelakovice with the financial support from the West Bohemian Museum in Plzeň and District Museum in Louny. The third issue of this expert magazine - focused on the problems of archeological findings of glass and technology of glassmaking - is featuring the questions of renaissance glass in Bohemia and Moravia.
